About this initiative
Help Lito is an independent public-interest initiative created by Bruno Silva. It exists to increase visibility and help connect verified scientific, medical and institutional information with Lito's official team. It is named here for accountability, not promotion.
When a rare, fast-moving disease meets a public figure, information scatters. Rumors, well-meaning but unverified suggestions, and fraudulent campaigns appear within days. At the same time, the people who actually study the disease may never hear about the case. Help Lito exists to reduce that distance: one place that explains who Lito is, what CJD is, where research is happening, and how a professional can reach the official team.
Help Lito does not accept donations. There is no crowdfunding, no PIX, no cryptocurrency, no payment processing and no financial support section of any kind. The official team has warned that fraudulent fundraising campaigns are using Lito's name. If you see a financial campaign claiming to represent Help Lito or Lito without confirmation from his official channels, treat it with caution.
Help Lito is not operated by Lito, by Mila Seidl, by Aviões e Músicas, or by any hospital, university or research organization, and it is not officially affiliated with any of them unless explicit authorization is later obtained. It does not represent the Broad Institute, MIT, Harvard or any institution mentioned on this site. Institutions are listed for information only. The official contact channel, ajudalito@avioesemusicas.com, belongs to Lito's team and is reproduced here exactly as they published it.
This website was created and is maintained by Bruno Silva, independently and at his own expense. There is no organization behind it. The purpose of naming a responsible person is simple: if something on this site is wrong, harmful, or unwanted by the people it concerns, there must be someone who answers for it. That person can be reached at helplito@brunosilva.io.
Medical and research content is drawn from public health authorities, official clinical trial registries and the peer-reviewed literature. Each source is listed on the Sources page with an access date. Clinical trial status can change at any time; the site shows a last verified date and always links to the official record rather than treating status as a fact. Information about Lito is limited to what his family and team have shared publicly.
No treatment or study described on this site guarantees eligibility or benefit. Nothing here states or implies that Lito is eligible for, has been accepted into, or will receive any experimental therapy. Nothing here claims that any experimental therapy works.
